CDC Endorses Updated COVID Boosters, Shots To Begin Soon

Sarah Long, MD, a professor in the College of Medicine, was quoted in a Sept. 2 Associated Press article, that was picked up by PBS Newshour, the Boston Globe, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, KCRA-TV (NBC-Sacramento) and among other outlets nationwide. Long was also quoted in a Sept. 1 Medscape article, about the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky's decision to endorse new booster vaccines designed to target both the newer Omicron variants along with the original variants of SARS-CoV-2.
