Circuit Split Fuels Debate Over Failed Hairstyle Bias Bill

Wendy Greene, JD, a professor in the Kline School of Law, was quoted in a March 2 Bloomberg Law article about the path for legislation that would make it a federal crime to discriminate against someone because of their hairstyle. The bill recently fell short of the two-thirds vote needed to pass under expedited procedures in the House, but proponents vow to bring it up again, under a regular order, which would only require a simple majority.
