Student-loan Giant Navient Agrees to $1.85 Billion Deal With 39 States, Denies Wrongdoing

President John Fry and Drexel were mentioned in Jan. 13 Associated Press and Philadelphia Inquirer stories about student loan company Navient settling in a lawsuit brought by a number of state attorneys general that accused the company of predatory loan practices. Drexel hosted an announcement of the settlement by Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
