Alex Ortega, PhD, a professor and director of the Center for Population Health and Community Impact in the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in a June 15 New York Times article about a study finding that one in five people worldwide have at least one of the underlying health conditions that can worsen cases of the coronavirus.
