Never-before, Locally-released Music from Nat Turner Rebellion and Sounds of Liberation Brings Fresh Twist to Classic Funk

The partnership between MAD Dragon, Drexel’s student record label in Westphal College, and music producer Reservoir, to produce an album by the defunct band Nat Turner Rebellion, that was originally recorded 50 years ago in Philadelphia’s Sigma Sound Studio, was featured in a May 11 Philadelphia Weekly story. Associate Professor Toby Seay, who helped bring the project to fruition, was mentioned in the piece.
