Experts, Neighbors Worry About Air Quality After Refinery Fires

Peter DeCarlo, PhD, an associate professor in the College of Engineering and College of Arts and Sciences, was quoted in a June 20, WCAU-TV (NBC-10) about the South Philadelphia refinery that caught on fire after a series of dramatic explosions Friday morning. It's the region's largest single source of air pollution even when it's not burning.
