Field, PhD, JD, a professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health and Kline School of Law, was interviewed in an April 15 Sirius XM Knowledge@Wharton episode on the implications of Amazon's recent announcement that its automated assistant, Alexa, is HIPAA compliant — which means it is allowed to receive and transmit information that is protected under the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
