Tax Break for New Philadelphia Construction Comes Under Financial Watchdog's Sights

Kevin Gillen, PhD, a senior research fellow in the Lindy Institute for Urban Innovation, had his report featured in a March 8 Philadelphia Inquirer article addressing that Philadelphia’s financial watchdog is currently exploring whether to recommend changes to a much-used tax break for new construction. Gillen’s report was also mentioned in a March 8 Philadelphia Citizen article in regard to Mayor Kenney’s recent Fiscal Year 2019 budget.
