Schools Mixing Art and Science to Create STEAM

Youngmoo Kim, PhD, an associate professor in the College of Engineering and director of the ExCITe Center, and the College of Medicine’s Medical Simulation Center were mentioned in a July 2 Philadelphia Inquirer story about the STEAM lab at Roxborough High School, made possible through a collaboration with Drexel and a five-year $2.5 million grant. Through the collaboration, high school students visit Drexel for training in science, technology, engineering and math.
