Asthma Medications During Pregnancy Linked to Increased Autism Risk

Research by Nicole Gidaya, a doctoral student in the Dornsife School of Public Health at the time, looking into the risk of autism diagnosis in the children of mothers who continued taking certain kinds of asthma drugs during pregnancy was featured Jan. 27 in Parents magazine. A Sacramento Fox affiliate, KTXL-SAC (Fox40) also ran a report on the study.
