A Local Pilot Program Shows How Repurposed Food Can Help The Needy

Ally Zeitz, an undergraduate student in Drexel’s Center for Hospitality and Sport Management was mentioned in a Nov. 14 KYW Newsradio (1060-AM) story about a food recovery program that is a partnership between the Center and Brown’s ShopRite in West Philadelphia. The program, in which students develop recipes from food that would otherwise be thrown away, was recognized by the EPA.
