Meningitis Suspected in Drexel University Student's Death

Stephanie Ross, an undergraduate student in the College of Engineering, died from a suspected case of meningitis on March 10. The story appeared in March 11 local news broadcasts including WCAU-TV (NBC-10) and NBCPhiladelphia.com; WPVI-TV (6-abc), WTFX-TV (FOX-29), KYW-TV (CBS-3), WPHL-TV (PHL-17), WPSG-TV (The CW 57); several Drexel students were interviewed during the segments. A March 11 Associated Press story was picked up by local and national outlets, including the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Houston Chronicle, Kansas City Star and San Francisco Gate. The story also appeared in the Philadelphia Business Journal, Philadelphia Daily News, Philly.com and Inside Higher Ed.
