Big cuts to food-stamp program will hit Pa., N.J. hard

Mariana Chilton, PhD, an associate professor and director of the Center for Hunger-Free Communities in the School of Public Health, was quoted in a Philadelphia Inquirer story on Feb. 5 about anticipated impacts of cuts to food stamps in the Farm Bill passed in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate. The influence of the Center’s Witnesses to Hunger program on the vote was also discussed.
