Dr. Joshua Jacobs, an assistant professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, was mentioned in an August 13 Wilmington News Journal story about his neuroscience research that led to the discovery of human brain cells, called “grid neurons,” that help people to navigate in open environments. A related story ran on LiveScience.com on August 8 and was picked up by NBCNews.com’s science blog.
