New High in U.S. Autism Rates Inspires Renewed Debate

Dr. Craig Newschaffer, a professor and chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health, and director of the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute, was quoted in a Reuters article that was picked up by CNBC, The National Post, The Chicago Tribune, Yahoo! and other outlets, about new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data on the prevalence of autism. Newschaffer’s research was also mentioned in the version of an Associated Press article that ran in The Philadelphia Inquirer on March 30.
