Drexel to Launch Autism Institute

An article in the Philadelphia Business Journal noted that the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute, led by Dr. Craig Newschaffer, professor and chair of the department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health, received a gift of $1.5 million from the Charles and Barbara Close Foundation, founded by Drexel alumnus Charles Close (’36). Dr. Marla Gold, dean of the School of Public Health, was quoted.
