Radiation-Free Breast Cancer Detection Device

A new breast cancer screening device developed by Drexel researchers was featured in the January issue of Medical Design Briefs. The device developed by Dr. Wan Shih, associate professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems, and Dr. Wei-Heng Shih, professor of materials engineering, aims to enable more accurate breast cancer screening and cancer detection in populations where mammography is not widely available or accurate.
