Census Figures Show Record Numbers of Americans in Poverty

Dr. Mariana Chilton, an associate professor in the School of Public Health, was quoted in a Philadelphia Inquirer story about recently released U.S. Census figures that indicate more Americans are now living below the poverty line than at any time since the line was established 52 years ago.
