Santiago Ontanon
Associate Professor of Computer Science
Prior to coming to Drexel, Ontañón spent time as a postdoctoral researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute in Barcelona, Spain. He has published more than 150 scientific papers about the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning and gaming and has led a number of international conferences and workshops in these areas of study. Ontañón’s work has been mostly funded by the National Science Foundation, and is currently the PI of two NSF projects on using machine learning to automatically diagnose medical conditions from driving behavior, and on using artificial intelligence to develop better computer science educational games.
