Garth Ehrlich, PhD

Professor of Microbiology and Immunology

Ehrlich is an expert on the spread of infectious diseases, as well as their treatment, containment and prevention. He is the executive director of the Center for Advanced Microbial Processing and the Center for Genomic Sciences. He has published extensively on how to detect and neutralize microbial contamination using genomic analyses. 

Ehrlich is also a frequent media contributor. He has contributed to stories about the persistence of epidemics such as Lyme disease, and how to go about ending them.
