Lior is a leading scholar in artificial intelligence liability, policy, and regulation, with a focus on the emerging field of AI-designated insurance policies.

Her academic work includes “Insuring AI: The Role of Insurance in Artificial Intelligence Regulation” (Harvard Journal of Law and Technology), “Innovating Liability: The Virtuous Cycle of Torts, Technology, and Liability Insurance” (Yale Journal of Law and Technology) and “E/Insuring the AI Age: Empirical Insights into Artificial Intelligence Liability Policies” (Connecticut Insurance Law Journal).

Lior earned her LLM and JSD from Yale Law School. Her dissertation examined the intersection of AI liability and liability insurance. Lior served as a postdoctoral researcher at Yale, focusing on AI regulation and the global dynamics shaping national AI policies. She has been featured on multiple podcasts including “The Ballpark Podcast,” “Smarter Campus Podcast,” and “Scaling Laws.” Lior has also appeared on NBC-10 in Philadelphia.

A member of the Montgomery County Advisory Council on Artificial Intelligence for the Public Good, Lior is a frequent speaker at conferences and academic panels on AI governance and responsibility.
