University to Close July 3
The following email was sent to Drexel students:
Dear Students,
In order to provide an extra day of rest and celebration, the University will close on Monday, July 3, in addition to the scheduled Independence Day holiday on July 4. Instructors may assign additional work elsewhere in the term to make up for any class periods missed.
Closing on July 3 this year provides an additional day for our community to honor the heroes who fought for America’s independence and its right to self-government. This also is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many along the way, the challenges that still lie ahead, and our collective responsibility to help secure a better future where there is truly liberty and justice for all.
We hope this extra time off provides an opportunity to recharge with family and friends.
Sincerely,
John Fry
