Drexel University’s Office of Government and Community Relations has begun its 25th Annual Holiday Toy Drive, which returns this year as an in-person event. Toy donations are being accepted now, and volunteers are needed to bag donated toys on Wednesday, Dec. 8 and Thursday, Dec. 9.

As every year, providing a toy or donation is more important than ever. Requests continue to rise, with over 70 organizations now looking to Drexel for help. Recipient groups include public housing developments, churches and ministries, homeless shelters, youth centers, social service agencies, health centers, town watches, counseling centers and more.

Please include this year's Toy Drive in your holiday shopping to bring a smile to a child and make their holiday special. Faculty, professional staff and students are encouraged to donate new unwrapped toys (no toy weapons, please) through Wednesday, Dec. 1.  Collection boxes are available in the University City, Center City and Queen Lane campuses at the following locations:

  • Office of the President, Main Building
  • Office of Government and Community Relations, Left Bank, Suite 102
  • 3201 Arch Street, First Floor Recreation Center, Lobby
  • New College Building, Lobby
  • 3 Parkway Building, 10th Floor
  • Queen Lane, Lobby
  • Deans Suite office in CT 170

Members of the University community can also participate in toy bagging parties (with eco-friendly materials), which are scheduled to be held in The Left Bank Building, OGCR and GC Conference Rooms, on Dec. 8 and Dec. 9th , from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be served.
