Drexel Winter 2015 Intramural Sports Champions
The winter schedule of intramural sports has come to an end, and with that end come the champions.
In the midst of the contests deciding the latest round of intramural winners, Drexel Recreational Athletics took time to also honor Drexel Director of Athletics Eric Zillmer for all of the work he does to promote the programs. A part of that honor was having him perform the opening tip for one of the championship basketball games held on the floor of the Daskalakis Athletic Center, the same hardwood where the University's two Division I basketball teams play.
Here's a quick rundown of the winter champions:
BASKETBALL
Men's Basketball: DUCoM defeats Pretty Pink Princesses, 69-53.
Women's Basketball: DUWOSOC defeats Phi Mu by forfeit.
Coed Basketball: The Ocho defeats From the Fire 32-25.
BILLIARDS
Singles: Troy Santry of Team Salamander defeats Nick Ciccariello of Team Big Nick.
Doubles: Team Yo defeats The Norwoodians.
FLOOR HOCKEY
Men's Floor Hockey: Sunnyvale Samsquatches defeats Glorious Five-hole, 5-3.
Coed Floor Hockey: Unicrows defeats Humongous Melonheads, 4-3.
