Looking for a new painting or sculpture to brighten up your home? One Drexel student organization may have you covered with its 12th annual art auction this week.
Many paintings done in various styles as well as “3D” pieces such as sculptures will be on the block for anyone looking to add to their collection or even just pick out their first item.
Proceeds from the auction will go toward the Drexel Arts Administration Graduate Association (AAGA) trip to Washington, D.C., for National Arts Advocacy Day. The annual trip for the student-run organization provides an opportunity to appeal to the United States’ legislators for more public funding for the arts.
Held in the URBN Center’s lobby, the auction will take place Friday, Feb. 27, from 7 to 10 p.m. Bid cards are $15 at the door and $10 for those with Drexel student IDs. Attendees will be treated to live music, hors d’oeurves and beer and wine donated by local distributors. You can RSVP here.
In the meantime, check out some examples of the remarkable pieces you can bid on below.
