Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts is the recipient of the inaugural Westphal Award, one of Drexel University’s highest honors.
Burberry is a global luxury brand distinguished by its British heritage, core outerwear and large leather goods base and one of the most recognized icons in the world. In 2011, Burberry was named the 4th fastest-growing brand in the world by both Interbrand and WPP/BrandZ, and the 13th most innovative company globally by Fast Company magazine. It has been recognized in Interbrand’s Top 100 Global Brands for the past three consecutive years, and was named 2011 Retailer of the Year at the Oracle World Retail Awards. In 2012, Burberry was named the International Retailer of the Year by the National Retail Federation of America. Burberry, which is headquartered in London, was founded in 1856. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange (BRBY.L) and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 index.
