In addition to being a member of the senior management team under Elizabeth A. Dale, the senior vice president of Institutional Advancement, Zeehandelaar will also be responsible for managing the planning, implementation and oversight of all presidential advisory councils and their meetings, including the Board of Visitors, the Leadership Council, the Real Estate Advisory Council and Parents Council.
She will be responsible for assisting with the identification and recruitment of council members and she will manage a small portfolio of major gift prospects.
Zeehandelaar has been a senior corporate officer for more than 20 years in investor relations and communications roles. She has a successful track record of creating and implementing effective strategic global investor relations programs, which significantly expand visibility with Wall Street and investors.
Zeehandelaar’s professional career includes Towers Perrin, Radian, Safeguard Scientifics and CIGNA. She began her career as a certified public accountant at Peat Marwick after earning her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.
Zeehandelaar is the chairwoman of the Philadelphia chapter of American Associates of Ben Gurion University (AABGU) and was recently elected to the National Board of AABGU. She has been a long-time trustee of Main Line Reform Temple and was recently nominated to be vice president.
