What: Drexel University ecology and environmental science professors and students will add to Margate’s Fall Fun Fest fair with interactive activities that will introduce visitors to sea turtles, snakes and other marine creatures.Who: The students will be joined by Drexel professors James Spotila, who has led worldwide research on endangered leatherback turtles, and Walter Bien, principal investigator for research being conducted at the Warren Grove Gunnery RangeVisuals: The Drexel team will have diamondback terrapins from the Back Bay, and other turtles and snakes, a full-scale model of a leatherback turtle and release 30 juvenile diamondback turtles raised by Robin Scott, local conservationist and owner of Ray Scott’s Dock.
