Gov Rendell to Deliver Keynote Address and Receive the National Distance Learning Week Leadership Aw

What: Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell will accept Drexel University Online’s 2008 National Distance Learning Week (NDLW) Leadership Award and deliver the ceremony’s keynote address on Drexel’s campus.First Lady Laura Bush has also been awarded the NDLW National Leadership Award. A letter of acceptance from Mrs. Bush will be read by Drexel University President Dr. Constantine Papadakis. Independence Blue Cross CEO Joseph Frick will accept the 2008 Outstanding Contribution to eLearning Award for IBC’s commitment to education and training. Dr. Ken Hartman, NDLW chair and academic director of Drexel Online will provide a brief history of distance learning. The event will be attended by members of the education and business communities and is open to the public.
