Drexel Urban Health Collaborative
The Urban Health Collaborative (UHC) is an interdisciplinary research, policy, community outreach and training center of Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.
The mission of the UHC is to improve health in cities by increasing scientific knowledge and public awareness of urban health. Through local projects and global partnerships, the UHC engages communities and policy stakeholders to improve population health and reduce health inequalities in cities. The UHC coordinates and provides support for SALURBAL-Climate and other global urban health activities.

The Wellcome Trust
The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation based in the London, U.K., and is one of the largest philanthropic funders of scientific researchers in the world. The Wellcome Trust funds the Salud Urbana en América Latina (SALURBAL) project through a $12 million grant. The grant was awarded as part of the Our Planet, Our Health program, which supports research investigating links between human health and food systems, urbanization, and climate change.
In 2023 the Wellcome Trust awarded additional funding to continue exploring the connections between urban health, health equity, and climate change across Latin America through SALURBAL-Climate.
