The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) provides legal advice on a broad range of issues relating  to the University’s healthcare programs.  The OGC assists University healthcare providers and managers operate their clinical practices in compliance with the wide variety of federal and state laws that regulate healthcare.   This includes:

• advising on federal and state fraud and abuse laws such as Stark and Anti-kickback;
• medical directorship and other clinical service agreements;
• managed care contracting and clinical training agreements.

Our attorneys also work closely with the Office of Risk Management to coordinate medical malpractice litigation and patient care issues.
