Climate CO-OP Cohort
The Environmental Collaboratory (TEC)’s Climate COOP Cohort is a student-centered professional development series designed to help participants integrate climate action into their co-ops and future careers. The 6-part module is open to students of any major or career interest and provides a space to engage with peers and professionals on how to align their work with climate goals. We have had six sessions that have covered the following topics:

The Climate COOP Cohort provides student participants with a comprehensive introduction to climate-related careers, helping them explore how their academic backgrounds and interests can align with meaningful work in the climate space. Participants gained exposure to diverse career pathways across policy, science, business, and design. They were guided through the process of creating professional materials, from cover letters, resumes, and LinkedIn profiles, that not only reflect current market demands in the climate sector, but also stand out in their chosen field.
The cohort fostered a multidisciplinary community of students, from environmental engineering to interior design, and created space for cross-sector dialogue and support that will continue to act as a network for support beyond the six-series workshop. Moving forward, TEC plans to build on this foundation by expanding industry engagement and mentorship opportunities, reaching a wider audience through increased marketing strategies, and shaping future programming through student feedback and assessment.
