Rates and Fees
Starting May 2024, the charge model for Picotte compute and storage usage is defined as follows:
- Picotte will have two tiers of usage, a free tier and a priority (paid) tier.
- The free tier includes the following partitions:
- def-sm
- a free tier partition for CPU nodes.
- Jobs on def-sm are limited to a maximum of 4 nodes, 24-core per node, and 12 hours of wall time.
- gpu-sm
- A free tier partition for GPU nodes.
- Jobs on gpu-sm are limited to a maximum of 1 node, 12-core per node, 1 GPU card, and 4 hours of wall time.
- All approved users will have access to both free-tier partitions
- Jobs running on free tiers are preemptable by jobs running on priority (paid) tier
- The priority tier will have the rate of $0.01 per SU, with 1 SU (service unit) defined as a single core-hour.
- The scaling factors for various partitions are defined as follows:
- def/long: 1 SU per core-hour
- bm: 68 SU per RAM TiB-hour
- gpu/gpulong: 43 per GPU device-hour
- Storage:
- Each research group (Slurm account) is now allowed 0.5TB without charges
- Above this limit, the charge rate is $10 per TB month
