Friday, June 11, 2021
7:30 p.m. ET
Citizens Bank Park, located at the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia
Graduates and guests are welcome to celebrate the achievements of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral graduates from both classes of 2020 and 2021. The University-wide ceremony is the culmination of commencement activities, where President John Fry will confer degrees.
The outdoor ceremony will be held rain or shine within city and state health and safety guidelines, including allowing each graduate a maximum of eight guests. According to the Phillies’ health and safety guidelines, face coverings are required indoors. Drexel University strongly encourages face coverings outdoors. Drexel and the Phillies are closely monitoring the city and state changes to health and safety guidelines.
Tickets are required for all parties, including graduates and their maximum eight guests. See below for the ticket order process, available through end of day Thursday, June 10.
- Once graduates have accessed the Phillies ticket order site and entered the Student ID number as the offer code, they can select a maximum of nine tickets and proceed to create an account to complete ticket selection. If graduates plan to participate in the optional procession, it is recommended to use a guest’s email address when completing ticket selection.
- Shortly after completing ticket selection, the individual whose email was used will receive a confirmation email from firstname.lastname@example.org. The confirmation email includes instructions for accessing tickets via the MLB Ballpark app. At least one member of the party will need to download the MLB Ballpark app on their mobile phone and present tickets upon arrival to Citizens Bank Park. Please note, graduates participating in the optional procession should not have guests’ tickets on their mobile phone.
On Friday, June 11 tickets, including additional tickets to the maximum nine, will be available onsite at Citizens Bank Park.
The University-wide ceremony will be broadcast on PhanaVision, the ballpark’s Jumbotrons on the right and left field sides, and on monitors throughout the concourse. The University-wide ceremony will also be livestreamed on the Commencement website.
Celebrate with the entire Drexel community on social media too using #ForeverDragons.
In addition to the maximum nine tickets redeemed via the MLB Ballpark App, additional tickets will be printed and available onsite at the Left Field and Third Base entrance gates. Additional tickets do not need to be formally requested nor approved. Please contact email@example.com with any questions.
