Citizens Bank Park – located at the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia – is an outdoor facility with uncovered seating, where the University-wide Commencement will take place on June 11. There are ADA accessible sections at the top of all seating on the Main Concourse, which are easy to access from the guest gate entrances indicated on the corresponding map [PDF]. We still encourage families to use precaution when determining guest attendance and reference the Accessibility section of the Commencement website.
All gates will have metal detectors and guests are subject to bag checks. Please see the Citizens Bank Park Code of Conduct for additional details on what is permitted and not permitted in the ballpark. According to the Phillies’ health and safety guidelines, face coverings are required indoors. Drexel University strongly encourages face coverings outdoors. Drexel and the Phillies are closely monitoring the city and state changes to health and safety guidelines.
The weather will be warm and it is recommended to dress in light clothing. Concessions will be available for purchase (including non-alcoholic beverages only).
Guest arrival to the ballpark is recommended 45–60 minutes prior to the ceremony start time of 7:30 p.m. ET. Parking is free in the lots indicated on the corresponding map [PDF]. Tailgating is not permitted.
Guest entrances are Third Base Gate or Left Field Gate indicated on the corresponding map [PDF].
Graduate Arrival and Procession
The University-wide ceremony will kick off with an optional graduate procession into the ballpark. Graduates should plan to arrive to the ballpark by 6 p.m. ET. Regalia is encouraged for graduates but not required.
Graduates will enter via Left Field Gate indicated on the corresponding map [PDF] and gather on Phillies Drive to prepare for the procession.
