There is no better way for students to learn a foreign language, expand their global perspective, discover other cultures and enhance their professional potential than education abroad. Drexel's Department of Global Studies and Modern Languages immerses students in experiential learning such as international co-op, global classrooms, intensive courses abroad, plus study and research opportunities.

Sarah DiPasquale, BA global studies '20, completed co-ops in China during her time at Drexel, while concentrating on justice and human rights. She says her immersion in Chinese culture was very influential and that working in a foreign country taught her adaptability. She draws on this skill every day as the Chief Program Officer for Sharing Excess — a non-profit food rescue organization dedicated to removing logistical barriers to connect good food with people in Philadelphia who need it.

DiPasquale joins "On the Map," the Department of Global Studies and Modern Languages' podcast series, to reflect on how her time at Drexel shaped the career she has today. Listen to the episode below and click here to learn more about "On the Map" and how you can participate.
