Internal Machinery: Panel discussion to explore the exhibitions Digital Twin and Heavy Merge

Tuesday, September 30, 2025

5:00 PM-7:00 PM

Join Drexel's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design on Tuesday, September 30 for a panel discussion exploring the themes behind Westphal's summer exhibitions, Digital Twin and Heavy Merge. Moderated by Evangelia G. Chrysikou, Associate Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience, in the Drexel College of Arts and Sciences, this discussion will examine the complex relationship between humanity and technology, the ‘internal machineries’ of our brains and our bodies, and the implications for the future of our physical-digital selves.

Participants include Micah Lockman Fine (curator of Digital Twin), Carolyn Healy (sculptor for Heavy Merge) and John Phillips (audio-video artist for Heavy Merge), and Tim Gorichanaz, Ph.D. (Professor of Information Science).

This event is free and open to the public. Enjoy refreshments and mingle with the artists and panel participants before and after the discussion.
