6:00 PM-7:00 PM

This summer, Barbie dominated the box office, making close to $200,000,000 opening weekend, and by the fall, nearly $1.5 billion globally. The film also got caught in the crosshairs of pop culture and politics. What are the limits of Barbie’s politics? Many critics hailed Greta Gerwig’s direct approach in representing women’s lives. Others contended it was not feminist enough or out of step with current feminist thinking. Others even contended there wasn’t Ken-ough about Ken. Come to our Bentley Dreamhouse to dive into the nooks and crannies of this film and pop culture politics!
