Friday, January 20, 2023
3:00 PM-5:00 PM
Join us for a lively talk with
Martyn Pickersgill, professor of the Sociology of Science and Medicine, University of Edinburgh, who discusses his research regarding ongoing data collection on how psychiatrists –principally based in England and Scotland– account for and to some extent tinker with diagnosis. While data is still be collected, it is very clear that the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is at once both used and lamented.
