Drexel Running Wild Press Writing Contest 2024

The Drexel University Creative Writing MFA program is excited to partner with Running Wild, LLC to launch the inaugural Running Wild Press Writing Contest. All Drexel students and alumni are encouraged to submit a book length –50,000 words or more– manuscript for a work of fiction to become eligible to win a professional book contract with Running Wild, LLC.

Finalists will be selected and judged by Acquisition Editors from Running Wild Press and RIZE Press. The author of the winning manuscript will receive a standard Running Wild, LLC book contract which includes:

  • Upfront award of $200.
  • Net revenue of 40% for paperback, ebook and audiobook sales.
  • An opportunity to offer the story for licensing.

How to Enter

All Drexel students and alumni are encouraged to submit a book length manuscript of approximately 50,000 words for a work of fiction. Please note, this contest will not accept manuscripts for works of non-fiction, memoir or poetry.
