Solving the Alzheimer’s Puzzle: Before completing her PhD in Biology, Akanksha Bhatnagar co-led an interdisciplinary research team that shed light on the novel role of the Tip60 enzyme in genetic disruptions that cause Alzheimer’s disease.

Physics doctoral student Ariella Atencio received a Department of Energy award that will support work towards her doctoral thesis, "Optimizing Charge Collection in nEXO," which aims to determine if the neutrino can be its own anti-particle. The award gives students the opportunity to address critical energy, environmental and nuclear challenges at national and international scales.

Alejandro Manga combines his background in economics and urban planning with Drexel’s Communication, Culture and Media doctoral program to examine the role of bike movements in ecological transitions. His analysis of biking mobilizations in France and the USA questions their role in the social, political and environmental transformation of spaces.

Leeann Haaf earned her bachelor's, Master's, and doctoral degrees in Environmental Science at Drexel University. Leeann now works to reduce the impact of climate change on rising sea levels at the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary.
