Solving the Alzheimer’s Puzzle: Before completing her PhD in Biology, Akanksha Bhatnagar co-led an interdisciplinary research team that shed light on the novel role of the Tip60 enzyme in genetic disruptions that cause Alzheimer’s disease.

Computation was a pivotal part of Justin Gambrell’s own physics education program, but not all institutions include it in doctoral curriculum. Drexel’s Physics Education Research track within the Physics PhD program allows Justin to examine the importance of teaching computation in introductory undergraduate physics courses.

Alejandro Manga combines his background in economics and urban planning with Drexel’s Communication, Culture and Media doctoral program to examine the role of bike movements in ecological transitions. His analysis of biking mobilizations in France and the USA questions their role in the social, political and environmental transformation of spaces.

Leeann Haaf earned her bachelor's, Master's, and doctoral degrees in Environmental Science at Drexel University. Leeann now works to reduce the impact of climate change on rising sea levels at the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary.
