11th Street’s Teen Talk Group Prepares Service Project with Seniors
May 9, 2013
The members of 11th Street Family Health Services’ Teen Talk group are completing a service project this spring in which they will work alongside senior community members to build a community garden. In preparation, the teens have planted seedlings, which are rapidly growing.
The Teen Talk members will bring the plants to Guild House West on May 16 and assist the seniors in adding them to the community garden on site. The teens will reflect on their experience in a Chartings Q&A in June.
When you assess your own life, consider it with the eye of a gardener. Underneath the surface lies rich, fertile soil waiting to nurture the seeds you sow. Even more than you can imagine will grow there if given a chance. –Steve Goodier
