Alumni Update: Where are they now?

Susan Evans, MCAT ’96, participated in a panel discussion, "Alternative Therapies for Students, Art & Music," at the Paul Pratt Library in Cohasset, Massachusetts. Evans has been working in the field of art therapy for over 17 years. She works at Skills for Living in Norwell, Massachusetts, facilitating social groups as well as individual art therapy sessions for children and teens with social cognitive challenges. In addition, Evans works per diem at Westwood Lodge Hospital in Westwood, Massachusetts.
Runette Gabrielle, RN ’59, a soprano soloist at the Christ Episcopal Church for 40 years, sang for the last time at the Church's Good Friday service. Ms. Gabrielle retired in 1995 as Director of Residential Unit Management at the Hamburg Center in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.
Valerie McDaniel, MA ’11 won a guest appearance and was interviewed on the radio talk show "Music Therapy Show with Janice Linsdstrom." McDaniel won the drawing at the National Music Therapy Association Conference in Chicago in October 2012. She is currently applying to PhD programs so that she can pursue research in speech and music.
Breanna Veal, MHA ’11 was hired as a physician assistant at Associated Specialists of Internal Medicine in Centerville, Ohio. In her new role, Ms. Veal conducts physical exams, diagnoses and treats illnesses, orders and interprets tests, counsels on preventative health care, gives medical orders, and writes prescriptions.
