The Drexel University Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program hosted a “What is a PA?” event

October 14, 2011

The Drexel University Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program hosted a “What is a PA?” event for the Drexel community to celebrate National Physician Assistant Day on October 6, 2011.

In order to expand knowledge of the profession and answer any questions about the life of a PA, the Drexel University Hahnemann Physician Assistant Department held an event on the main campus of Drexel University where faculty and students were available to share information.

There were also opportunities to support Hurricane Irene relief efforts both on main campus as well as on the center city campus. The WW Oaks Physician Assistant Student society of the Drexel University Hahnemann PA program is teaming up with Lutheran Disaster Relief, the American Red Cross and Americorp to collect needed supplies for volunteers helping to clean out homes affected locally by Hurricane Irene and the additional tropical storms that followed. They are providing monetary donations and supplies of work gloves, R95 mold prohibitive face masks and goggles in the Montgomery and Bucks county areas outside of Philadelphia.
