Drexel University’s Inaugural “Certificate in Simulation” Course

ANNOUNCING — Drexel University’s inaugural “Certificate in Simulation” course is being presented to the public on August 9-13 by the College of Nursing & Health Professions (CNHP) Center for Interdisciplinary Simulation & Practice (CICSP) in collaboration with CNHP Division of Continuing Nursing Education.
This innovative course for health care professionals introduces the participants to leading-edge simulation skills with state-of-the-art computerized manikins (Human Patient Simulators, or HPS) and human patient actors, also known as standardized patients (SP). Programming covers a broad spectrum – from design and implementation of scenarios to setting up and running a health care simulation center. Participants completing the week-long course will earn a post graduate “certificate in simulation”.
The course runs from Mon., Aug. 9 through Fri., Aug. 13 near center city in the newly opened CICSP electronic learning labs, 4th floor, New College Building in Philadelphia, PA.
Participants hail from states across the country including Wisconsin, West Virginia and New York. Two notable participants are military members: senior nursing executives from the state of Ohio and the nation of Turkey.
