Becky Motykiewicz, DNAP, CRNA, has been a practicing Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for over 10 years, with a primary focus in pediatric and pediatric cardiac anesthesia. She has worked at multiple pediatric hospitals across the United States, bringing specialized expertise in the perioperative care of children with complex congenital heart disease.
A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Motykiewicz earned her Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia before completing her Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice at Missouri State University. Her doctoral research focused on pediatric airway management education for CRNAs, reflecting her commitment to advancing safety and knowledge in pediatric anesthesia.
Motykiewicz has served as adjunct faculty at Fairfield University, Thomas Jefferson University and Texas Wesleyan University. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) as well as state nurse anesthesia organizations. She has presented at multiple state meetings, at the AANA Annual Congress and the Atomic Anesthesia podcast, sharing her expertise with colleagues nationwide. Since 2024, she has served as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Nurse Anesthesia Education. She created a pediatric anesthesia drug calculator app to help reduce medication errors in the pediatric anesthesia setting. Dedicated to service beyond the clinical setting, she has also participated in pediatric anesthesia mission trips in Guatemala, providing care to children in underserved communities.
Motykiewicz resides in Philly with her husband, Daniel, and her deaf Australian cattle dog, Lexi. She enjoys hiking, reading and exploring the city.
