Assistant Clinical Professor
Physician Assistant Department
Vicenta Montgomery, DMSc, is an assistant clinical professor for the Physician Assistant program in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University in Philadelphia.
Montgomery joined the PA department faculty in July 2025. She has practiced clinically as a physician assistant in emergency medicine, gastroenterology, pediatric neurology and interventional radiology. She has also previously had the pleasure of working in PA education in Delaware and Florida. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she worked for 10 years as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) and registered vascular technologist (RVT).
She has moved several times with her family to different areas of the northeast and is happy to be settled in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She is extremely proud to share that in January 2025, she was awarded a certificate of recognition for her collaboration with Chief Matalavage of the Limerick Township Police Department to initiate a Special Needs Notification Decal Program for homes and vehicles which notifies law enforcement and first responders of the presence of an individual with special needs within a home or vehicle.
Outside of her professional and community work, her greatest joy comes from her husband and children. She secretly misses Florida, but her family enjoys the cooler climates of Pennsylvania.
