Jeffrey Massaro, PA-C, joined the faculty of the Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions in 2026. Prior to transitioning into academia, he practiced primarily in surgical oncology, with subspecialty expertise in cutaneous oncology and cancer prevention. His clinical background also includes experience in surgical orthopedics and surgical women’s health. Massaro earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, graduating summa cum laude from Georgia State University, and completed his Master of Health Sciences degree through Drexel University’s Physician Assistant Program.

Before joining Drexel University as an assistant clinical professor, Massaro served at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, within the Cutaneous Oncology and Reconstructive Oncology departments, where he provided comprehensive surgical oncologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Within the Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University, Massaro provides didactic instruction, leads clinical skills labs and facilitates small group learning focused on clinical reasoning and procedural competency. His professional interests include surgical education, skin cancer prevention, community health initiatives and the integration of academic scholarship into clinical practice.
