Renee M. Jones, PT, DPT, CEEAA is an assistant clinical professor and assistant director of clinical education in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences at Drexel University. She also serves as the lead physical therapist at the Stephen and Sandra Sheller 11th Street Family Health Services. Jones earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Health Professions Education at A.T. Still University. She is also a certified exercise expert for the aging adult (CEEAA) and a credentialed clinical instructor.

Jones's research focuses on the impact of emotional intelligence training for clinical instructors and its influence on teaching confidence, instructional effectiveness and student-instructor relationships. Her approach is informed by a belief in reflective practice, authentic mentorship and learner-centered environments. She actively contributes to scholarship and community engagement, having presented at Educational Leadership Conference. She is dedicated to inclusive leadership; Jones serves as vice co-chair of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Black Physical Therapists and sits on the advisory board for the Salus University Orthotics and Prosthetics program. She is a proud member of the inaugural Black Academia in Physical Therapy Mentorship program.

Jones’s teaching philosophy is rooted in equity, empathy and empowerment. She encourages students and clinical instructors alike to lead with emotional intelligence, think critically and foster meaningful professional relationships. Her academic work is an extension of her longstanding commitment to improving health outcomes and mentoring the next generation of clinicians.
