Gabby Guilhon, PhD, is an assistant teaching professor who teaches anatomy and physiology related courses for the Health Sciences program. She received her bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, Brazil), completed her master's degree from the National Museum of Brazil and her doctoral degree from Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG, Brazil) and Harvard University, both in Zoology. She has a specialist graduate degree in Biosciences and Health Teaching from Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz, Brazil). She is a certified pathology technician with professional experience in hospitals and clinics.

Research Interests
Guilhon’s research interests include comparative anatomy, functional morphology and evolutionary biology of mammals. She is particularly interested in investigating their locomotion, using linear and geometric morphometrics, gross dissections and 3-D imaging for comparative analysis.
